New Album! New Concert! New Mixi! New Myspace!

The day has come.

After 3 and a half years, Eri Nobuchika will release her new album, "Hands" on June 3rd, 2009. This is the tracklisting:

The album is clearly a cooperative work, with multiple producers and writers. It is unclear under what label this album will be released: Sony Music hasn't updated their nobuchikaeri.com website yet. More as the story develops.

Accompanying the pending release, 信近さん has gone all out and launched her mixi account (click), her MySpace account (click) and will plan a launch concert!

On her MySpace account, you can link your profile to hers. This website has already done so - with the following message:

The gig will be held at Otodama Sea Studio, a popular venue at Zushi beach at an hours drive of Tokyo, on 6.30.09. Tickets will be available starting 5.30, at 2500/3000 yen. More details here and here.

Concerning music, she has released soundbites of the first three tracks on her MySpace: Melody, きみなんだ and タシカナモノ. Judging by the previews, this album will contain mostly easy listening, light pop, close in style to last album's "Summer Sketch". Gone are the heavy synthesizer and orchestral arrangements of Shinichi Osawa - the package seems a lot lighter and has a "summertime live band at the beach" feel to it.

New album/songs confirmed

Big news!



Multiple sources, amongst which 信近さん　herself, have confirmed that she has recently finished up on some songs for a new album. We're not 100% sure if it is an album of her own, but it may be also very likely it's a cooperation with Mika Arisaka.

The songs have been in the works since January, February, judging from the posts at nobuchikaeri.jugem.jp. 信近さん　hasn't mentioned many specifics, she's been informally addressing the matter in between her usual chats of fashion, food, and cute Japanese events. What her role in these songs are, are thus unclear.

For these recording sessions (or for other reasons as well), she's moved back from Fukuoka to Tokyo.
